Cherry Popsicle Lips

I am forever on the hunt for a lip colour that will give me the “cherry popsicle” look. Which, essentially, is a red food colouring-stained mouth faintly tasting of pure cane sugar. Delightful, but maybe not the best for my arteries. I’m crafty and would rather make do with makeup.

Enter Smashbox Be Legendary Cream Lipstick in Mandarin. I’d describe the shade as neon red, but with a sheer, hydating finish.

Tapped onto lips with a fingertip, it gives you the blurry, blotted look that’s usually only achievable with a frozen summer treat and a good dose of brain freeze. I blot down with a tissue between layers of application for more staying power and then top with a little bit of clear lip gloss because I’m not a matte-finish kind of girl.
